From 1994 to 1998, Sevda Rzayeva recieved a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of International Relations at the Higher College of Diplomacy. Subsequently, from 1999 to 2001, she obtained a master's degree in Linguistics from Baku Eurasian University. In 2001, she was admitted to the doctoral program at the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi, part of the National Academy of Sciences. In 2007, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sevda Rzayeva was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Philology. In 2015, she was awarded the academic title of "Associate Professor" by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

    In 2022, Sevda Rzayeva received the "Decree of Honor" from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

    She has nearly 27 years of experience in the education sector. Since 1998, she has held various positions at the university.

    Sevda Rzayeva is the author of more than 30 articles, monographs, and various methodological materials and course programs and  has participated in numerous international training sessions, conferences, symposiums, and seminars.
